Mitsubishi FTO
*Update*
Sadly I have now sold my FTO. After much crying and thrashing myself with a stick I have finally come to terms of being without my FTO. However, It’s not all bad news as I have bought a stunning Lexus IS220d. When I get round to it I’ll create a new page!!!
This section of my site is dedicated to my car, Mitsubishi FTO GR 2.0i 24V V6 (Auto). I bought the car in 2005 and have never looked back, it is simply awesome! Great looks, great handling and plenty of power make it a damn cool car and a real head turner. I am now going to wow you with my awesome knowledge (and a little help from Google) and tell you what FTO stands for; Fresh Touring Origination. Well, that was mostly disappointing to be honest, what were they thinking when they come up with that!? It should be something much more exciting like, Fecking Totally Outrageous. See, much better!

Hi Steve,
Great site! Just about to get me a GPX and wanted to know a bit more about the xenon conversion you carried out… Can you advise where you bought the kit, how much etc?
Hey mate, glad you like the site and welcome to the world of FTO ownership!
Right, the best place to buy the kit and indeed any other parts you need is from Ricerocket. Once you get past the silly name you’ll realise they are brilliant. Good prices, plenty of availability and quick to post stuff out. Check out their site. There is a contact number on there and ask for Dave.

If I remember correctly the HID kit cost me around about £90 but I think they were about due for a price increase, but don’t hold me to that!
Also when fitting it is worth noting that the connectors supplied on the kit are a slightly different size to the standard bulb. All this means is that you will need to push on the connectors really hard to get them to fit but they do fit, and very very snuggly indeed.
